Bruntwood has unveiled plans for a collaborative workspace at its £8m redevelopment of a 15-storey building in Manchester city centre.
The property company plans to transform the 52,000 sq ft building, formerly known as Bank House, into neo – a “fresh, new revived form of building” with Bruntwood’s “most evolved workspaces to date”.
The building will comprise co-working spaces, event spaces, private studios, a communal lounge and kitchen, a roof terrace and a digital art space on the ground floor.
Open-plan office layouts with panoramic views across the city will feature on the upper floors.
A dedicated on-site community manager will develop neo’s internal social network, running a programme of events focusing on health and wellbeing, social networking and business support.
Bruntwood follows a host of developers such as Peel Group, Allied London and Capital & Centric in building for the growing tech and start-up community in Manchester.
Chris Oglesby, chief executive at Bruntwood, said: “neo marks a new phase in workspace evolution for Bruntwood, embracing the ever-changing nature of business culture and connectivity.
“With neo we have the chance to nurture new and ambitious start-ups.”
