High Court gives green light to 400-home West Sussex development

The High Court in London has given developers the green light to go ahead with a 400-home housing project in the coastal West Sussex village of Pagham. In a ruling, the court dismissed arguments from the local parish council that the planning committee which considered the project hadn’t properly taken into account the damage the development would do to the historic setting of the church. Pagham Parish Council was challenging a November 2018 decision made by Arun District Council to allow the development, which also included a care home, a primary school, a local centre and a scout hut.
