James Fenner: Owner, Silk Road Marketing

London-based James Fenner set up Silk Road four years ago to shake up the property marketing landscape. Previously James’s only property experience was running the marketing for the highly successful Fitzroy Place scheme. In the fifteen years prior to this he’d worked with brands such as: Coca-Cola, Levi’s, Citibank, Schweppes, Southern Comfort, Habitat, Audi, Volkswagen, Rio Tinto and Unilever. He brings knowledge of how other sectors work to property, endeavouring to haul it into the twenty first century.

James’s different point of view in the sector and energetic style has seen him now becoming a speaker at industry events. This has included RESI 2016 and Vision London 2017 where he’s spoken about future living and design. He’s also speaking at MIPIM 2018 on Urbanisation with some high-profile industry speakers as well as MIPIM Asia this November.

Rachel Dipper: VP of Marketing & Partnerships, OneDome

Rachel has over 15 years marketing and leadership experience, mainly in the luxury property sector.

She was Head of Residential Marketing at Knight Frank, where she spearheaded a digital-first strategy.

Prior to this, Rachel worked at Strutt & Parker implementing a challenger-brand approach, running award-winning campaigns that shifted the way national property brands approach marketing. Rachel has also held several roles within the B2B publishing industry and holds a BA in Theology from King’s College London.

Toni Hopponen: CEO, Flockler

Toni is CEO and Founder of Flockler, a platform helping brands to collate, analyse and display user-generated social content on their services, increasing conversion rates and dwell time. Flockler's current clients include Penguin Books, Eurostar, Royal Mail, and many more.

Toni is passionate about social media transforming the traditional marketing: how real-time social data can enrich your customer data, enabling to create personalised experiences for consumers online and offline.

Matt Brown: Senior Director, Real Estate, European Expansion

 

Matthew Brown has over 10 years working in the London real estate market and has also worked internationally. Matthew worked as a leasing agent at JLL and as a Leasing Director for REM (Landlords of the Shard and other high profile London assets).

Matthew has worked at WeWork for over 2 years primarily focusing on growing the businesses footprint in the UK and Ireland. During this time WeWork has experienced substantial growth and is now London's largest private tenant.

Anne O’Shaughnessy: Senior Account Director, Portland Design

Anne has nearly 30 years of experience working in project management and client services within many
leading creative agencies. Anne works with global brands implementing multi-faceted and extensive large-scale
national and international projects.

Debbie Harvey: Managing Director, Kolab

Debbie is Managing Director at Kolab Digital and has over ten years experience of working in digital, with a background in brand and marketing. More recently this has included partnering with Property and Public Sector clients to develop and implement Digital and Social Strategies.

With a clear focus on brand purpose and driving results, those partnerships have led to multi award wins for placemaking and building engaged online communities. Awards include two Gold Property Marketing Awards and Best Regional Strategy in the Social Buzz Awards for Crest Nicholson and their highly successful development ‘Paintworks' in Bristol.

Louis Venter: CEO, MediaVision

Louis is the founder and CEO of MediaVision, a multi-award winning, integrated digital marketing agency, named ‘Best Small Integrated Agency’ at the UK Search Awards two years in a row.

Extensive experience in the property sector with brands like Instant Offices, Rightmove, Bidwells and Douglas and Gordon helped MediaVision win ‘Best Digital Content Marketing Campaign’ at the 2017 Property Marketing Awards – and they’re shortlisted again in 2018.
After almost 15 years, Louis still prefers to run things from a hands-on perspective rather than the bosses seat. He juggles this with the role of dad, husband, rugby coach and regular paddleboarder.

Her drive to be an industry leader has produced Award winning schemes ranging from refurbishing the iconic Electricity House in Bristol, Tadpole Garden Village based on the Garden City Concept and the unique Paintworks using innovative Marketing and thinking outside the box.

Simon Russian: Head of Retail, LGIM Real Assets

Simon Russian is Head of Retail within LGIM Real Assets. He takes an overview on the platforms retail assets and is focussed on strengthening our occupier relationships as well as enhancing customer and technological innovation within the company’s retail assets.

Simon was previously Head of Development (Bracknell) and lead the team that redeveloped Bracknell Town Centre with a new 600,000 sqft retail and leisure development which opened in September 2017. The scheme transformed the Town Centre and is now one of the most successful retail and leisure destinations in Berkshire.

Simon has been at LGIM Real Assets since 2008 and prior to that was a Director and Head of Retail at Wilson Bowden Developments.

Rebecca Williams: Marketing and Communications Manager, Great Portland Estates plc.

Rebecca Williams heads up the Marketing team at Great Portland Estates plc ‘GPE’. With 14 years of industry experience, she is principally responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications across the business - commercial, retail, residential, investment and corporate.

In the six years since Rebecca joined GPE, she has been responsible for high profile global marketing campaigns for successful schemes such as Rathbone Square, 30 Broadwick Street and 240 Blackfriars.

Current projects include a 160,000 sq. ft. redevelopment at 160 Old Street and the forthcoming 220,000 sq. ft. mixed use scheme above the new Crossrail station in Hanover Square.

Charlotte Steedman: Founder, Conductor

Prior to founding Conductor, Charlotte held senior positions in highly recognised real estate businesses and was responsible for the marketing strategy and delivery of many notable developments.

Jo Bergdahl: Partner, Circus

Circus is a boutique management consultancy – specialising in brand strategy, purpose and proposition. Jo Bergdahl is a Partner in the business and has led projects in the UK and internationally across vertical sectors – with a specialism in retail and property. Key clients in the UK include John Lewis, Virgin Atlantic and Capital & Counties. Whilst overseas she led a project for Hongkong Land.

Jo has a degree in psychology and started her career in research, before moving into a number of agency planning and insight-led roles, working in the likes of McCann Erickson, TBWA and Fitch, with time spent living and working in both Paris and Milan.
