Allsop promotes three to partner in promotions round

Allsop has made 19 promotions across the business, including three partners.

Jimmy Bruce has been appointed as an equity partner in the residential auctions team. The firm has also named two new salaried partners: Aoife Scanlon, lease advisory and business rates, and Doug Guild, commercial auctions.

Bruce joined Allsop in 2008 aged 18, as an auction surveyor, progressing within the residential auctions team before taking to the rostrum as a residential auctioneer. He was made an associate in 2016 and a salaried partner in the following year.

His client base includes property companies, private investors, receivers and bridging financiers. He is one of the top fee earners in the auctions business and is credited with a reputation for securing instructions that offer high-capital-value sales.

Scanlon joined Allsop’s graduate scheme in 2014 and after spending time in the commercial auction, valuation and office leasing teams, joined the lease advisory and business rates team.

Guild joined Allsop’s commercial auctions team as a surveyor in 2015. He provides marketing and strategic advice on sales, from individual properties to portfolios for clients ranging from private individuals to institutional funds.

The firm has also named five new senior associates: Evie Higgs, commercial valuations, Alexandra Ward, recoveries and receivership, and David Evans, Gabriella Brunton and Roseanna Benyon, all in residential auctions.

Four associates and seven senior surveyors formed the rest of its promotion round.

Scott Tyler, senior partner at Allsop, said: “Investing and developing the careers of colleagues and our commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion is core to Allsop’s success and we look forward to continuing to deliver excellent service for our clients.”

Bruce said: “My career at Allsop has always been truly rewarding and I’ve been fortunate to work with such an amazing team.”
