Allsop suffers dip in residential auction success rate

Allsop blamed “economic and political uncertainty” for a dip in the success rate at its July residential auction last week, as higher-priced lots struggled to sell.

The auction house reported that it sold 71% of the 189 houses and flats offered at its 18 July sale, raising £38.1m.

At the same event a year ago, Allsop sold 81% of the 182 lots offered, raising £43.2m.
