Ballymore has appointed Pat Dalton as group finance director, following the departure of UK finance director David Pearson after nearly 10 years.
Dalton has more than 30 years’ experience in private and public companies, with a focus on transactions and restructuring.
Most recently he was chief financial officer and executive director of Canadian-listed business IPL Plastics for eight years. He was also CFO at Ireland’s state-owned gas and electricity supplier, with similar roles in property and construction.
Based in Dublin, he will cover the UK and Ireland operations at Ballymore.
John Mulryan, group managing director at Ballymore, said: “Pat is one of the most experienced finance directors in the business, with an impressive track record and over 30 years in senior executive management roles.
He added: “David has been an integral part of navigating the business through some of its most challenging periods post-financial crisis, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Dalton said: “This is an exciting time to join Ballymore, with a considerable residential pipeline and a number of large regeneration projects coming to fruition in the UK and Ireland.”
