Ernst & Young will begin the sale of Battersea Power Station in the new year in a process the administrator says could last up to nine months.
E&Y met with Wandsworth council chiefs on Monday to discuss plans for the sale.
The previous holding companies were placed into administration last week.
Several parties have registered their interest in buying the 55-acre power station.
