Bedding manufacturer John Cotton Group has lodged plans to redevelop the former Cooper Bridge Water Treatment Works site in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, as an industrial facility.
The 15-acre site was operated by Yorkshire Water until 2015 and since then remained vacant.
John Cotton plans a 300,000 sq ft scheme to provide additional storage for its factory on the adjacent Leeds Road.
The firm, which produces the Slumberdown and Earthkind brands, currently uses warehouses in Ravensthorpe and Bradford, and would move their operations to the proposed development.
The scheme is expected to create 100 jobs locally, resulting in additional GVA of around £4.6m when operational.
