Body Shop has secured a new head office at the Plus X Innovation hub in Brighton under its new ownership by investment firm Auréa Group.
The cosmetics brand will take the entire sixth floor of the building, covering 7,000 sq ft, with an option to expand to an additional floor as its workforce grows.
Located close to the University of Brighton, Plus X Innovation hub is a purpose-built seven-storey facility allowing members access to co-working space, office space for teams of up to 150, meeting rooms, podcast and photography suites.
Body Shop was acquired out of administration by the specialist investment firm in September. Most recently, its head office functions have operated out of two locations in Littlehampton, West Sussex, and London.
Auréa founder Mike Jatania took on the role of executive chair for Body Shop, while former Molton Brown chief executive Charles Denton was appointed as the new chief executive.
Denton said: “As we work to rebuild and reimagine the future of our brand, it’s essential we foster an innovative and collaborative culture to make this next stage in the journey possible. Returning to Brighton reinforces the values upon which we were built.”
Olga Hopton, workspace director at Plus X Innovation, said: “Our hub houses a state-of-the-art prototyping workshop and a fully equipped photography and podcast studio, supporting the Body Shop’s plans to drive forwards through collaboration and an innovation mindset.”
Flude Property Consultants acted on the letting.
