Boris Johnson selects Homes England’s Lister as chief of staff

Homes England chairman Sir Edward Lister is set to be Boris Johnson’s chief of staff if he becomes prime minister.

Lister will take a leave of absence from his role at Homes England to work for Johnson.

The move creates a vacancy at Homes England for at least the short-term.

Senior independent director Simon Dudley will step up as interim chair. He will continue as leader of Windsor and Maidenhead council.
