Center Parcs is up for sale after Brookfield Property Partners recruited bankers to gauge demand from potential buyers.
The Canadian owner is seeking between £4bn and £5bn for the holiday village operator, around double what it paid eight years ago. Brookfield bought Center Parcs from Blackstone Group in 2015 for around £2.4bn.
It now has five parks in the UK and one in Ireland. Earlier this year Center Parcs scrapped plans to develop a sixth British holiday village near Gatwick airport after completing an environmental survey of the 553-acre site. The chain had planned to spend between £350m and £400m creating a 900-lodge venue.
