Buyers splurge nearly £400m on four super-luxury central London penthouses

Wealthy foreign buyers have sunk nearly £400m into a string of landmark central London properties in recent weeks, contradicting warnings of a slowdown in the capital’s super-prime market.

The Sunday Telegraph understands a Chinese buyer spent £105m on the penthouse apartment and another flat at One Grosvenor Square in Mayfair, historically the US embassy and more recently home to the Canadian High Commission.

The Ambassador’s House, another property in the same development, has also sold for around £50m.
