Capital & Counties has submitted plans to convert the Empress State Building in Earls Court, SW6, into more than 300 homes.
As revealed by Estates Gazette (23 November 2013, p44) the London developer wants to redevelop the 31-storey office block into 340 flats.
Its proposals also include 3,800 sq ft of shops as well as car and cycle parking spaces. The 30th floor, presently a private revolving restaurant, will become a shared lounge.
CapCo took full ownership of the 451,000 sq ft building in May 2013 after buying Land Securities’ 50% stake for £117m.
The building, which is adjacent to the Earls Court & West ?Kensington Opportunity Area, ?is let to the Metropolitan?Police until June 2019.
