The CBI has called on chancellor Jeremy Hunt to announce tax breaks for businesses at next month’s Budget.
It said it is the “last chance” to help the economy avoid a recession this year.
Hunt will present his Budget on 15 March, the chancellor’s second fiscal event after last November’s Autumn Statement, which reversed Liz Truss’s planned tax-cutting agenda.
