Savills has lost two of its residential development stars to rival CBRE.
CBRE, which has been on an aggressive expansion of its residential division culminating in its acquisition of EA Shaw in November last year, has hired brothers Julien and Luke Mills as executive directors.
They will join CBRE’s central London residential agency team where they will work alongside chairman Mark Collins and managing director Lisa Hollands.
The Mills’s will be based in the firm’s West End office at Henrietta House on 8 Henrietta Place, W1.
Julien joined Savills in 1997, followed by Luke (pictured) in 2001.
The brothers have been involved in some of the leading developments and regeneration areas in the capital.
Both men are now on gardening leave.
CBRE managing director Ciaran Bird, said: “Julien and Luke’s appointment is good news for our business, our client philosophy and our plans for future growth.
“Over the last 18 months we have made some highly strategic investments into our residential business and by extending our leadership team, we are further building on our ability to provide best in class advice to clients and increase our development portfolio.
“Alongside the recent acquisition of EA Shaw, this is a real statement to the market of the strength and experience we now have in the team.”
Lisa Hollands, managing director, CBRE’s residential team added: “Julien and Luke are highly talented professionals, with incredible flair in the residential market.
“They will work closely with Mark and myself in growing and directing the residential business. They have an outstanding reputation, in both London and international markets, and are two of the most sought after development consultancy experts in the business.”
Savills declined to comment.
