Countryside and Goldman team up on PRS drive

Countryside has struck a deal with Goldman Sachs that could see the pair deliver as many as 1,000 new private rental homes over the next three years.

The developer has signed a framework agreement with Goldman Sachs’ merchant banking division, with an initial agreement for 410 PRS homes in Bicester, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton.

Iain McPherson, Countryside’s group chief executive, said: “The UK desperately needs more high-quality rented accommodation and we look forward to delivering more family homes with this new agreement. We continue to see strong interest from new and existing partners to deliver PRS homes as part of sustainable mixed-tenure communities across the UK.”
