Countrywide posts Q1 income slide

Estate agency Countrywide continued to see its group income fall in Q1 2018 with a decline of 10.5% to £145m compared with Q1 2017. Countrywide released its update for the three months to the end of March ahead of its AGM today. It reported that the decrease reflected the significantly fewer residential units being put up for sales across the UK. London sales coming into 2018 were also lower, it added. The agency said it had moved swiftly to restore expertise in sales and lettings following the appointment of Paul Creffield as group operations director in January, following the resignation
