DHL logistics veteran joins DTRE

One of the best known names in European logistics is joining niche property consultancy Dowley Turner Real Estate.

Paul Graham is leaving his position as head of real estate in EMEA at Deutsche Post DHL and becoming a consultant to the firm.

At DTRE he will advise clients alongside its agency and investment teams and will also help lead a charge by the firm into European markets where it will provide agency, development and investment advice.

Known to many in the market as “PG”, Graham is leaving the German third-party logistics giant after 30 years. He had held the top property job at the company in Europe since 2011 and oversaw a team of 80. His last day at the firm was yesterday and he is due to start with DTRE next month.

Also supporting DTRE’s push into Europe will be Will Mullins, who has now started as an associate partner from CBRE via a six-month secondment at developer Mountpark. Mullins has previously focused on advising occupiers including Amazon, Kuehne & Nagel and DHL itself on their requirements in mainland Europe.

The DTRE business, formed by Keith Dowley and David Turner in 2010, now employs 30 people. It has undertaken £2bn of investment transactions so far this year including advising Oxenwood on its £207m Project OWL sale to Ascendas REIT and Tritax Big Box on its £120.7m forward-funding of an Amazon fulfilment centre in Darlington.
