Durham’s Milburngate gets the green light

Durham City Council has granted planning permission for the first phase of the £160m Milburngate development. Joint venture partners Arlington Real Estate and the Richardson family will deliver the mixed-use scheme in Durham, which will include about 150,000 sq ft of office space, 291 flats, 45,000 sq ft of leisure space and a cinema. Phase one consists of 60,000 sq ft of office space, 153 flats, a 92-bed Premier Inn hotel and the leisure space.
