DWS Group’s Jessica Hardman has been appointed as junior vice president of the British Property Federation.
Hardman, who is head of European real estate portfolio and of the UK real estate group at DWS Group, will join president Guy Grainger and vice president Mark Allan at the BPF.
Hardman will work as part of the presidential team to highlight the real estate sector’s central role in levelling up and support the drive to net zero carbon across the built environment.
Hardman said the appointment was a “privilege” at a “pivotal time”.
“During my career I have worked directly in the UK real estate market, investing globally, and working with a large array of international investors, enabling me to bring a global understanding of the industry to the junior vice president position. In the UK ,the real estate industry has a key role to play in supporting economic growth, leading the way in decarbonisation and ultimately delivering on the government’s levelling-up ambitions.”
The BPF recently launched its Net Zero Pledge – an industry-wide initiative to cut carbon emissions across the whole of the property sector.
Grainger said: “Jessica is a great addition to the BPF presidential team. Her international experience and deep knowledge of the UK market gives a valuable breadth of perspective. The real estate industry is facing a period of extensive policy change and I look forward to working with Jessica and Mark Allan in the coming years to continue the strong engagement between the public and private sectors.”
