Eco housing upgrades moving at ‘glacial pace’, says Labour

Labour has attacked the Conservatives over the speed of government efforts to upgrade Britain’s draughty housing stock.

An analysis has showed that just 65,000 homes have been upgraded under the government’s Energy Company Obligation scheme since it was relaunched in April last year.

Labour said the initiative was proceeding a “glacial pace”, adding that it would take 300 years to hit the government’s targets.
