A former sales manager for co-working company IWG has taken a new role with a charity promoting cycling – and wants to use his knowledge of the office market to help devise strategies that get workers on their bikes.
Sam Turney joined Cycling UK as workplace products and sales manager this week. He will focus on helping organisations to use cycling to benefit their employees’ health and meet their ESG goals.
Turney, a keen cyclist and himself, said on social media that the role will let him “blend my passions and interests with my experience, helping organisations apply proactive travel strategies to their workplace and for their workforce”.
He worked for IWG across two stints, the first for six years until 2016, and the second since June 2023. In between he acted as a personal workplace consultant working with project managers, design consultants and real estate agents.
“This experience has given me a broad understanding of both the human and the physical elements of workplace,” he said.
