Student accommodation developer Fusion Group has hired two external advisers, including BlackRock’s former global head of real estate, and promoted two of its existing team.
The company has named Marcus Sperber, who was BlackRock’s head of real estate until setting up his own investment and advisory business, NorthCroft Capital, and Nick Doffman, a partner of 30 years at Mishcon de Reya and formerly its head of real estate, as advisers.
Fusion has also named land and planning director Julian Evans as development director, giving him a seat on the board, and promoted Paul Miles to group construction director.
Chief executive and co-founder Nigel Henry said: “These appointments reflect our commitment to diversifying perspectives in residential real estate… By promoting from within and bringing in external advisers, we are strengthening our leadership and governance structures to enable the next stage in Fusion’s ambitious growth plans within Europe’s living sector.”
