Budget 2012: Chancellor George Osborne has said that the Get Britain Building fund will be expanded by £150m, creating 3,000 additional homes.
The fund, which is aimed at supporting construction firms in need of development finance, was launched in November 2011. Its current allocation is £420m, which the government said will help deliver 12,000 homes.
The government this week published the shortlist of sites set to receive funding from the initial allocation.
