GPE signs US fund manager for Hanover Square

Fund manager Lexington Partners is to take 9,000 sq ft of new office space at Great Portland Estates’ development at Hanover Square, W1.

The US private equity firm will move into the second floor of 1 Medici Courtyard on a 15-year lease, with an option to break after a decade.

The seven-storey building, which is part of a major scheme run by a joint venture led by GPE, contains 31,000 sq ft of retail space on New Bond Street and 33,300 sq ft of offices above.

Simon Rowley, head of office leasing at GPE, said: “Best-in-class office space continues to be highly sought-after, and that is exemplified by this transaction and the interest we have from occupiers in the rest of the scheme.

“We look forward to welcoming Lexington alongside KKR and Glencore as they complete their fit-outs later this year.”
