Hilco Real Estate Finance has appointed Duncan Pearson as senior business development consultant.
Pearson joins from PGIM Real Estate where he served for 12 years, most recently as executive director, leading origination for the firm’s real estate investment strategies. Prior to this, he held a senior position at Mitre Capital Partners (now Santander).
In his new role, Pearson will be tasked with enhancing Hilco’s ability to identify and transact across a wide variety of lending opportunities. In particular, the firm is looking to catch the uptick in demand for loans to finance development exits.
Brad Altberger, chief executive and co-founder at Hilco, said: “Given the breadth of Duncan’s relationships with developers, we expect to materially increase our lending activities in [the development finance] segment.”
