Home REIT spends last £55m of £350m raise

Home REIT has deployed the last £55.1m of the £350m it raised in September.

The REIT, which buys and builds accommodation for homeless people, has acquired a further 240 properties, providing 880 beds.

The properties are let for an average of 25 years to 10 specialist homelessness charities at a net initial yield of 5.9%.

The deals bring the total portfolio to nearly 8,000 beds across 1,580 properties, located in 111 local authority areas and let to 26 tenants.

Jamie Beale, partner at Alvarium Home REIT Advisors, said: “Having fully deployed the net proceeds of the initial issue in a short period of just over three months, we are very pleased to have met the targets we set ourselves at the time.”

He added: “We continue to maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities that meet the requirements of our distinct strategy and look forward to updating our investors shortly regarding the deployment of the company’s debt facility.”
