Housing minister lends councils support to crack down on rogue landlords

The government has provided councils across the country with guidance on how to better protect tenants and reform the private rented sector. The publication of two new online guidance documents today (9 April), one for local authority enforcement practitioners and another for tenants and landlords, is the latest step in the government cracking down on the small minority of criminal landlords who exploit tenants for their own gain.
