Jason Sibthorpe has been appointed by commercial real estate services company Avison Young to lead its UK expansion.
He joins from Bilfinger GVA where he was chair of the company’s retail, hotels and leisure group, leading a team of 50 specialists with a focus on occupier strategy and mixed-use development, and a member of the executive board.
Effective immediately, Sibthorpe will become a principal managing director of the UK region. He will partner with Avison Young’s existing UK-based principals.
“We have plans for significant growth in all leading market sectors across the UK, and I look forward to working with my new partners and colleagues and playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of new, full-service real estate solutions to our clients and business partners,” he said.
Avison Young entered the UK market in April 2014 when the company acquired London-based commercial real estate services firm Haywards and opened offices in the West End and Thames Valley, followed by a Midlands expansion in 2016, through the acquisition of North Rae Sanders.
