JLL head of industrial and logistics clients to depart

JLL’s head of industrial and logistics clients, Andy Harding, is leaving the agent at the end of the year to set up his own consultancy.

Harding has worked at JLL and King Sturge for more than 25 years, nine of which were spent leading the UK industrial and logistics team.

He was succeeded by Melinda Cross as head of UK industrial and logistics at the end of 2022 and moved into a new role as head of clients at the start of this year.

He is credited with bringing in specialist skill sets in supply chain consultancy and city logistics at JLL.

Harding said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at JLL and feel really fortunate to have built a team that is able to play such a pivotal role in supporting our clients. The people around me have given me a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm for what we do, and I am confident that Mel and the team will continue this ethos.

“The industrial sector has undergone some major structural shifts in the past 20 years, and has rapidly adapted to the evolving needs of both occupiers and investors. Adapting to these changes and understanding the opportunities they offer has been key to the success of JLL’s industrial team, and I know they are ready to tackle what comes next.”

Cross said: “We are incredibly grateful to Andy for all he has done for Industrial and Logistics at JLL. During his distinguished career he has grown the team into a market-leading group advising on the most prized mandates in the sector. A proponent of diverse teams, he has always advocated young people coming into the industry and encouraged people from other disciplines to join our group.”
