Total Developments has bought a site in Balby, Doncaster, from Keyland Developments to deliver a £30m industrial and logistics scheme.
The 15-acre site at Woodfield Road has a capacity for up to 233,500 sq ft of facilities across five buildings.
Total is expected to use the site for the second phase of development of the adjacent Total Park, which comprises five warehouses totalling 376,419 sq ft.
Both phases of Total Park are set to address the shortages of industrial and warehousing stock.
The site sits close to junction three of the M18, the A1(M)/M18 intersection and 3.4 miles from iPort.
Matthew Turnbull, land and planning manager at Keyland, said; “South Yorkshire is in real need of new industrial and logistics accommodation to meet rising demand, and by unlocking this strategic site we are enabling a significant amount of sq ft to be delivered to the constrained market.”
Keyland is the property trading arm of Kelda Group and sister company to Yorkshire Water.
