King's College London this week lodged plans for a mixed-use scheme at the former Mulberry Business Park in Canada Water, SE16.
The site would include student accommodation, offices, affordable housing and shops.
King's is also in talks with British Land over developing a major campus on the nearby 14.6-acre Harmsworth Quays site.
King's said its long-term plan was to work with the London Borough of Southwark to develop a town centre with a university environment.
Deloitte Real Estate and Strutt & Parker are advising King's.
