Kricket bowls into Television Centre

Indian restaurant Kricket is set to open its second site at the Television Centre development in White City, W12.

The restaurant, which started inside one of Pop Brixton’s shipping containers, will take 3,600 sq ft in the joint venture development between Mitsui Fudosan, AimCo and Stanhope.

It comes a year after founders Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell opened their first permanent restaurant in Soho.

Campbell said: “We are really excited to be moving into the Television Centre, an iconic building in the heart of west London. We will be accompanied by some great names in the industry and together will make the Television Centre and surrounding areas a new centre of gravity for food, drink and entertainment.”

In its first phase, Television Centre, part of the £10bn White City regeneration, is set to deliver 432 new homes and 275,000 sq ft of office space let to fashion and homeware retailer The White Company from February.

It will also include a 47-bedroom hotel alongside independent shops and restaurants.
Alistair Shaw, managing director of Television Centre, said: “Kricket White City will complement and further enhance an already leading line-up of independent restaurants due to launch at Television Centre as it opens to the public for the first time this year.”
