Lindt and Landsec seal sweet deal for Piccadilly shop

Lindt & Sprüngli has agreed a deal with Landsec to open a flagship London shop underneath Piccadilly Lights, W1.

The Swiss chocolate manufacturer has taken 600 sq ft and will launch the shop in spring 2025.

Lindt currently has stores in 23 sites across the UK, two of which are in London.

Landsec has owned the Piccadilly screen since 1968, and in October 2012 completed the freehold ownership of the entire site – including its latest development, Lucent, which comprises 140,000 sq ft of offices, as well as shops and a rooftop restaurant.

Faythe King, retail director at Lindt & Sprüngli UK & Ireland, said: “This marks a significant milestone for Lindt & Sprüngli as we expand our presence in one of the world’s most dynamic and vibrant cities.”

Pablo Sueiras, head of retail brand account management at Landsec, said: “The best brands look to invest in the top destinations that command the highest levels of footfall. Located directly below the world-famous Piccadilly Lights, which attracts millions of visitors from all over the world each year, Lindt’s UK flagship will bring its brand to life with new experiences in an unbeatable location in London.”
