LJ Partnership hires former Lazard and QIA directors as US group buys 40% share

LJ Partnership has appointed former Lazard International chairman Ken Costa as a partner and co-chairman in the group.

Costa, previously global head of M&A at UBS and chairman of EMEA at UBS Investment Bank, will be joined by Ali Bouzarif, the Qatari Investment Authority’s former head of investment execution and a former non-executive director of Heathrow Airport, Canary Wharf and Accor.

Both men will become partners and shareholders in the London-headquartered private wealth and real estate partnership, which has £11bn under management and will rebrand to Alvarium Investments in 2019.
