Housing association L&Q has appointed Vicky Savage as group director for development and sales.
Savage will take over the role, which has been vacant since the promotion of Fiona Fletcher-Smith to chief executive at the start of this year. She joined L&Q in 2017 and was most recently London managing director, overseeing development in the capital.
Savage will focus on the committed national pipeline of 30,000 homes, of which 19,500 are on site. This will include managing the Barking Riverside regeneration and L&Q Estates in the Midlands, as well as working with Trafford Housing Trust in the north west, and driving forward L&Q’s use of modern methods of construction.
Fletcher-Smith said: ““Vicky has successfully led L&Q’s London development team through the most challenging period in our history, with a development pause in February 2020 soon followed by the pandemic and the temporary closure of our construction sites.
“As we now look to the future, Vicky will use her experience and expertise to focus on building safe, high quality homes and neighbourhoods everyone can be proud of.”
