Manchester city centre is on course for a record year in office take-up with volumes already overtaking the total from 2017, according to research from Savills.
Office take-up came to 1.2m sq ft between Q1 and Q3 – 34% above the same period last year.
The quarter – the most active Q3 since 2010 – was bolstered by several significant prelets, including Booking.com taking 225,000 sq ft at Manchester Goods Yard and the GPU’s 157,000 sq ft deal at Three New Bailey.
With continued demand, Savills has forecast rents to pass the £35 per sq ft mark and reach £36.50 in 2019.
