Plans to regenerate the former Colgate-Palmolive factory in Greater Manchester have been lodged with Salford City Council.
Development manager Bankfoot Apam has teamed up with Catella Apam, which is acting on behalf of site owner Greater Manchester Pension Fund, to deliver 450 homes and more than 145,000 sq ft of office space.
The Soapworks proposals include a multi-storey car park, pedestrian and cycle routes, a waterfront food and beverage area and courtyard.
The scheme, which has a GDV of £270m, is expected to focus on sustainability and wellbeing initiatives.
Fiona Chatham, senior development manager at Bankfoot APAM, said: “The scheme design has a key focus on connectivity and aims to deliver a new community in which people can work, rest and play, with sustainability at the heart of the proposals.”
