Manchester’s Old Brewery Gardens wins planning

Prosperity Capital Partners has secured planning for a £175m build-to-rent scheme in Manchester.

The 556-home Old Brewery Gardens is a redevelopment of the site of the former Boddingtons Brewery. It will include 375 homes to be built for rent, with the remaining 181 for sale. It will also include 40,000 sq ft of retail and commercial space.

Prosperity Capital Partners has 1,700 student accommodation and BTR units either completed or in the pipeline, with Brewery Gardens its first in the regions. The development was designed by Assael Architecture.

Ed Fowkes, development director at Prosperity Capital Partners, said: “Such a large project, with a diverse and exciting offering for both residents and the local community, will make a significant contribution to a Manchester that continues to thrive culturally and economically.”
