Meet the new EG Future Leaders

EG’s Future Leaders is back with its fifth cohort of extraordinary talent from across the built environment and this time the grand finale is going to be bigger and better than ever.

Since the launch of EG Future Leaders in 2019, some 35 individuals have passed through the programme, learning not just the skills to stand up on stage to present to a room full of peers and established leaders from across the industry, but the skills to really showcase how powerful the built environment can be at affecting change.

The Future Leaders programme is more than just an event. It is a movement across the sector to empower generations of inspired and inspirational people to push the industry forward, to speak up and speak out about the role real estate has to play in so many aspects of our lives, our livelihoods and in the future of the planet.

Now the next group of EG Future Leaders are preparing to play their role. They are:

  • Ola Alade, asset manager, LCP
  • Thai Dang, business analyst, Ellandi
  • Priscilla Idowu, social impact and inclusion co-ordinator, HB Reavis
  • Megan Kennedy, framework manager, Willmott Dixon
  • Sophie Levenson, partner, Knight Frank
  • Charlotte Paton, associate director, Savills
  • Jibran Saleem-Sheikh, brand manager, Landsec
  • Sophie Stewart, partner, DLA Piper
  • Katarzyna Strzalka, graduate surveyor, JLL
  • Isabelle Walters, apprentice surveyor, Savills
  • Callum Wyatt, apprentice surveyor, CBRE

Listen to this year’s Future Leaders discuss their hopes and fears

For our end-of-year grand finale, this latest cohort will present at a full-day summit, inspiring our audience to lean in and go on their own journey of changemaking too. And for the first time, the EG Future Leaders audience will get their own taste of being “Gingered”, with key members from our expert training partner, Ginger Leadership Communications, helping guide audience participation.

Conversations at this year’s EG Future Leaders Summit will be based around four key themes – all interconnected and all key to showcasing how valuable and exciting the real estate industry can be. The members of our cohort will base their 10-minute Tedx-style talks around innovation, the role of our cities, ESG and, with our first collection of early careers and apprentice leaders, a look to what the future of the built environment really holds.

This year’s cohort, like the four that have come before it, is entering the programme with equal measures of excitement and trepidation. Most of our Future Leaders are terrified of standing up on stage and knowing what to say and of being able to keep saying it, effectively and powerfully, for 10 minutes. But all of them will deliver and deliver well.

Training for our cohort began in earnest this week. They will now go through an intense programme before stepping up on stage to wow, inspire and lead us all on 24 November.

For those of you who have attended an EG Future Leaders experience before, I recommend you come again to enjoy all that you have before and that little something extra. For those who have never attended, please do not miss out. This is the future of real estate. These are the next great leaders of the sector. Being there really is business-critical.
