MIPIM UK 2016 has officially launched the third instalment of the conference in Earls Court Olympia, with the official support of the UK government.
UK Trade and Investment’s Regeneration Investment Organisation will work with embassies and consulates from around the world to attract delegations representing pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors.
Gavin Winbanks, head of investor relations at RIO, said: “RIO is supporting MIPIM UK as we believe it is one of the most important events in the UK property calendar, showcasing the entire UK market and making it accessible to international investors.”
MIPIM UK will showcase major government-backed projects including the HS2 station development, town centre initiatives and investment opportunities in enterprise zones and across the UK.
The UK remains the leading destination for real estate investment in Europe and is second only to the United States globally.
Simon Rhodes, managing director, Reed Midem UK, said: “The support of the RIO is an extremely important endorsement for MIPIM UK and will provide our clients with access to leading international investors, many of whom have not previously attended MIPIM UK and who have significant assets under management.”
Organised by Reed MIDEM, a subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions, the annual conference takes place at Olympia, W14, from 19-21 October 2016.
