More than 200 hotels planned in London

There are 210 new hotels in London’s development pipeline, with investors emboldened by the slump in the pound.

Out of the hotels either with planning permission or already under construction across the capital, almost a quarter (48) of these are in Westminster, according to private wealth law firm Boodle Hatfield. These will add more than 6,800 guest rooms.

Among ongoing projects in Westminster are Qatari Diar’s redevelopment of the former US Embassy on Grosvenor Square into a £1bn luxury hotel and a five-star Nobu hotel in Marylebone that is partly funded by actor Robert De Niro.
