Visible growth in the online space has encouraged new players into the market and is forcing incumbents to act. Recent experiences have shown that corporate sellers are driving this change. Examples of this have included well-known asset managers using Clive Emson’s online auction to sell commercial properties, and public bodies using Lambert Smith Hampton’s online auction to sell their land lots, writes Robin Rathore, chief executive of property auction marketplace Bamboo Auctions.
