Peabody asks public for Thamesmead masterplan

Peabody Housing is asking members of the public to come up with a masterplan for Thamesmead Waterfront.

The housing association is looking for “visionary and strategic masterplanners” to come up with the town of the future for £8bn scheme in southeast London — and all entrants have to do is submit a 750-word illustrated pitch.

Colander Associates, which is running the competition on behalf of Peabody, said entrants would be judged on their “creativity, their approach to collaboration and their design leadership skills”.
