GVA has appointed Barry Crichton (pictured left) to lead its new project consultancy and management team in Manchester. Crichton brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role. He joins from Deloitte, where he was a partner leading its capital projects business in the North.

The Liverpool office of Eddisons has appointed Michael Griffiths (pictured second from left) as associate director. He joins from Collus Consult.

Hodder + Partners has appointed Angela Pownall (pictured second from right) as associate in its architectural practice. She joined the firm in 2014 and worked on the delivery of 3 St Paul’s Place, Sheffield, for developer CTP.

WSP’s UK transport and infrastructure team has appointed Katy Toms (pictured right) as a senior engineer on the highways team. Nishani Sakizlis joins as associate director and will lead the rail fire engineering team. Aasif Variava has been named as associate director and group manager to the London highways team.

The Leeds office of Barton Willmore has appointed Rachel Gillen and Lucie Jowett as a senior planners and Harriet Haldenby as a graduate planner.

Andy Martin, Etienne Prongué and Olivier Bokobza have been appointed to the BNP Paribas Real estate executive board.

Diane Kerr has been appointed as head of asset services for Cushman & Wakefield in Scotland. Kerr will focus on the growth and development of the Scottish asset services team, responsible for Gyle shopping centre, Glasgow Quay and 123 St Vincent Street. She joins from GVA, where she was regional head for the property management consultancy team.

The Royal Town Planning Institute board of trustees has appointed Victoria Hills to chief executive. Hills will take up the role on 16 April.

Brasier Freeth has appointed Stephanie Ashman and David Thomson to associate and Kerry Starling to director, HR and administration.

Boyer has appointed Ben Simpson and Mark Batchelor as directors in the London office. David Hutchinson has joined as senior planner in the Midlands office.

Law firm Thrings has appointed commercial property specialist Fionnuala Nolan as partner. She will advise the firm’s portfolio of commercial real estate sector clients in London.

The London office of Gerald Eve has recruited Patrick Ryan as a partner. Ryan joins from Levy Real Estate. He advises occupiers on real estate requirements and clients have included Facebook, LinkedIn and ManpowerGroup.

CBRE has appointed Joel Gazeres as a director in its national healthcare team. He joins from GVA and has more than 10 years’ experience in healthcare transactions.

Law firm Reed Smith has promoted real estate lawyer Joanna Carter to partner.

Steve Coleby will join Morgan Sindall Group as managing director of its partnerships home division in April.

Colliers International has appointed James Nicholls as a director in its London city investment team. Nicholls has represented both international and UK-based clients on acquisitions and disposals in central London with a focus on investors from the Asia Pacific region.

International law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner has appointed Mark Stevens as partner in Hong Kong increasing its corporate real estate capabilities in Asia.

Simon Horan has joined Henry Davidson Developments as business development director. He joins from Savills, where he led the residential development and investment team.

Glenny LLP has appointed Philip Colman to head up its investment team. He joins from Lambert Smith Hampton and has more than 10 years’ experience working in the London and the South East business space markets with a focus on the industrial sector.

Arnaud Broussou has been appointed as AEW’s head of institutional asset management in France.

The property management team at Citibase has appointed Steve A’Hearne, Jonathan Willoughby and Sean Edwards as area managers.

Colliers International has appointed Samantha Addison, as director and Gemma Browne as associate director in its project and building consultancy division in London.

Dalcour Maclaren has appointed Harry Stubbs in Crewe and Ed Higson in Mansfield to associate directors. Sam Catling and Tim Donoyou have been promoted to associate directors in the Bicester office.

Assael Architecture has promoted Loren Thanyakittikul to director. She joined the firm in 2006 and has worked on residential-led and mixed-use schemes. Adam Johnston and Emily Newton have been promoted to associate directors.

UBS Asset Management has appointed Reto Ketterer as head of real estate Europe ex Switzerland in its real estate and private markets business.
