Adam Francis (pictured right) has joined the Bristol office of Colliers International as a director. He joins from Goodman Nash and has 16 years’ experience in property reviews, and specialises in historic business rates audits.

Bruton Knowles has promoted Andrew Prowse (pictured second from right) to partner. He joined the firm in April 2008 and specialises in compulsory purchase and compensation.

Savills has appointed Paul Rowland (pictured left) as director of its Cambridge planning team. He was previously an assistant director for planning and strategic housing at Bedford Unitary Borough Council.

Boyer has promoted Andrew Williams (pictured second from left) as managing director. Williams joined the firm in 2005. He will be responsible for the leadership and development of Boyer.

Heaton & Partners has appointed Bertie Cassels as an associate, covering Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

McArthurGlen Group has appointed Tom Enraght-Moony to the management board as chief customer officer, reporting to chairman JW Kaempfer and chief executive Julia Calabrese.

Planning consultancy Edgars has promoted Jon Westerman to director. He has 21 years’ development planning experience and has previously worked for Cherwell District Council, West Oxfordshire District Council and Carter Jonas.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has appointed John O’Driscoll as European head of transactions based in London and Laurent Jacquemin as heads of Asia Pacific in Japan.

UK Central Solihull, Urban Growth Company has appointed Fran Gibbons as finance director.

Rapleys has recruited Natasha Bray as senior associate to head its London neighbourly matters team.

Bruton Knowles has elected James Bailey as managing partner for a term of three years. Bailey joined the firm in 1998 and has worked in the utilities, public and commercial sectors.

Knight Frank has appointed building surveyor Rob Smith and graduate trainee Rachael Brown to its Cardiff office.  Smith joins from SP Surveying where he specialised in dilapidations, project management and measured surveys. Graduate Brown will train on the job to gain her RICS APC qualification.

CBRE Global Investors has appointed Andreas Norberg as head of investment operations Nordics. Norberg will take on full responsibility of the Nordics operation after being co-head of the sector for 18 months.

Dacre, Son & Hartley has promoted Fiona Bellamy to director and Matt Brear to associate in the commercial division. Bellamy has worked for the firm for 10 years within the healthcare division. Brear is responsible for the commercial agency operation and joined the firm seven years ago.

Leisure property adviser Davis Coffer Lyons has appointed Susie Webb as a surveyor in its development leasing and London estates team, led by Tracey Mills. Webb joins from CWM, where she was part of the agency team and advised landlords, including Battersea Power Station and TIAA Henderson in Dalston.

Ding Li has joined Cundall as corporate sustainability consultant, based in the Hong Kong office. She is a specialist in environmental management consulting.

Johnson Fellows has appointed Gillian Bamford as associate partner in Manchester. Banford brings more than 20 years’ commercial property experience to the role, and specialises in lease renewals, rent reviews and lease regears.

The Manchester office of Gerald Eve has recruited Daniel Ingram, planning consultant; Sarah Chicken, surveyor; and Jeremy Leahy, assistant surveyor to the national planning and development team.

Martin Holland has joined M J Mapp as an executive director and head of client accounting from Capita Real Estate.

Clearview Homes has appointed Stephen Matthews as commercial manager. Matthews has nearly 20 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry and joins from Barratt Homes North Thames.

Knight Frank has hired Lisa Attenborough as head of commercial debt to lead its new debt advisory practice.  She was previously a director of the capital advisory and specialist market teams at CBRE.

Flexible office provider, Citibase has appointed Emily Sharman to the new role of client services consultant. Sharman will lead the expansion of the company’s network of flexible office hubs.

London & Scottish Investments has appointed Simon Marriott to the board as investment director.  He will work with chief executive Stephen Inglis on regional REIT.

Obituary

Former Estates Gazette editor, John Clayton, passing away on 2 November, aged 87.  Clayton began contributing leaders to EG in 1964, while still working as a lecturer at the College of Estate Management.  He joined the title full-time in 1968, going on to edit EG between 1985 and 1991. In 1990, he was instrumental in negotiating the £60m sale of EG to the present owner, Reed Business Information.
