People and companies: Cording appoint UK head of residential lettings

Barberry Group has appointed Jon Mott (pictured left) as project director to drive delivery of its developments across the industrial, residential and student accommodation sectors.  He was previously an associate director at Colliers International.

Cording Real Estate Group has appointed Zoe Innes (pictured second from left) as head of residential lettings, UK. She will manage Cording’s in-house lettings team, which will be responsible for letting units in Cording’s two private rental sector funds, Cording UK Residential Investment Fund and PRS Club 1.

Jon Blood (pictured second from right) has joined Wareing & Company as a director, where he will work on freehold and leasehold property instructions, as well as property investments, rent reviews and lease renewals. He joins from ehB Reeves, where he spent four years as a surveyor.

Andrew Dobson (pictured right) has joined BNP Paribas Real Estate as senior director in its building consultancy team. He has more than 21 years’ experience in property consultancy and building surveying.

Aviva Investors has appointed Leo Shapland as head of central London offices asset management and Ed Atterwill as director of asset management in the central London offices team. Giles York has been appointed as a director in the core regional office team.

Aprirose has appointed Siddharth Natarajan and Karolis Stašinskas as executives in the acquisitions team to support its investment and acquisition strategy. Natarajan joins from Starwood Capital, where he covered European real estate acquisitions. Stašinskas joins from China Vanke, where he was an associate in the real estate investment team.

Oscar Vonken has joined Savills as a consultant in the agency team in Utrecht in the Netherlands.

RO Group has appointed Sarah Bailey as financial controller. Bailey will have responsibility for RO’s housebuilding subsidiary Metis Homes. She joins from Shanly Homes, where she was head of residential finance.

Gerald Eve has promoted Alex Brown and Kevin Henson in planning & development, Barry McEwan in business rates, and Jason Nearchou and Will Strachan in capital markets to partners. Louise Bennett in corporate property management, John Lowes in building consultancy & lease exit, Alex Neal, Joanne Rams, Natalie Rowland and Jamie Styles in planning & development have been named senior associates. Lorelle Bascoe, Naomi Bolt, Sophie Hinton and Rosalind Price in planning & development, Jonathan Clegg and Neil Hamilton in alternative markets, hotels, and Ross Cuthbert and Paul Steadman in capital markets have been made associates.

Rob Hughes has joined Queensberry’s northern office as development manager for its Glass Works regeneration scheme in Barnsley. Kris Musial has been appointed as development project manager to support the London team.

Grosvenor Group has made the following appointment announcements: Craig McWilliam will become Grosvenor Group chief executive on 31 December 2020; Mark Preston will continue as executive trustee of the Grosvenor Estate and take up the role of executive deputy chairman and head of the family office. James Raynor has been made Grosvenor Britain & Ireland chief executive from 30 September 2020. Sara Lucas will become Grosvenor Europe chief executive on 30 September 2019. Group executive director Peter Vernon will retire from the business on 30 September 2020.

Savills Aguirre Newman Spain has appointed David Gómez Rodríguez to its logistics team. Gómez joins as associate director and will be in charge of managing technical projects and will also work within leasing and investment areas.

Cushman & Wakefield has announced the appointment of Mark Clegg as international partner. Rufus Morgan joins as associate in the UK residential investment team. Lewis Smith joins the build-to-rent team as a senior surveyor from Savills.

International property and construction consultancy Gleeds has appointed senior project managers Matthew Maisey in Manchester and Simon Barrett in Cardiff. Tom Baah has joined as senior quantity surveyor. Martin Southworth, executive cost engineer, and Russell Rome, project director, have joined the Warrington office.

Mark Cecil has joined Haringtons Property Buying Agency as an adviser. He was formerly a founding partner of a hedge fund group for 12 years and a principal at GLG Partners.

Law firm Walton & Co has appointed solicitor Alec Cropper at its Leeds office. Cropper joins from DWF and acts for private and public sector clients across all aspects of the planning system.

TLT has appointed Sean McCay as partner to lead the construction team in the Manchester office. He joins from Squire Patton Boggs.

Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed Graham Coulthard to its building consultancy team as a director in its Manchester office. He joins from Contract Services, where he was commercial director.

UK architecture firm PRP has promoted Craig Sheach and Bhupinder Singh Chawla to partners in its London studio.

Property consultants Daniel Glinert and Robert Davis, formerly of Glinert Davis, have joined Philip Ross solicitors.
