People and companies: Linden Homes appoint land and planning director

Linden Homes has appointed Andrew Rowe (pictured left) as its new land and planning director for the South West region. He is a chartered town planner with over 20 years’ experience in the development and housebuilding industry. Based in the Exeter office, Rowe will be responsible for acquiring land for development through to the planning process.

Property law firm JB Leitch has appointed Sarah Hall (pictured second from left) as a senior associate in Liverpool. She specialises in commercial and mixed-use property litigation matters on behalf of institutional landlords and asset managers.

George Todrick (pictured second from right) has joined Savills as an associate director as part of the healthcare valuation team at its London head office. He has more than seven years’ experience in the industry and previously worked in the valuation team at GL Hearn.

Tom West (pictured right) has joined CBRE as a surveyor in the valuation team in Leeds. He joins from Sanderson Weatherall, where he was a chartered surveyor within secured lending, accounts purposes and pension fund valuations. At CBRE, West will be responsible for valuing commercial assets for banking, property company, REIT and private investor clients, and will report to senior director Michael Porter.

RWC Partners has appointed Benjamin Hall and Nathaniel Clark as analysts to its global equities team, where they will report to Louise Keeling, head of global equities. Hall joins from Mondrian Investment Partners, where he spent seven years working as an equity analyst and portfolio manager. Clark joined the firm in June from M&G Investments, where he worked as a global equity analyst from 2015.

Knight Frank in London has appointed Chris James to its private office commercial team to work with the ultra-high-net-worth and family offices. He joins from Allsop’s city investment team and is experienced in acting for UHNW individuals, funds, public sector groups and property companies, advising on sales, acquisitions and development consultancy projects in all sectors.

Hollis has appointed Tom Willcock as surveying innovation partner. He is the founder of Auster Aviation, a provider of industrial and commercial drone surveying. Willcock specialises in technology systems, innovation and risk, with a special interest in using drones to solve problems and improve efficiencies for clients.

Law firm Shoosmiths has appointed planning lawyer Fraser Mitchell as a partner to its real estate team based in Edinburgh. Mitchell has acted for public bodies and private developers in all aspects of planning and development, and has sat on the Scottish Property Federation Planning and Development Committee.

Harry Veenhuizen has joined Savills as a technical manager in the property management team based in the Amsterdam office. He previously worked at Renpart Vastgoed and Ballast Nedam Beheer.

Strettons has appointed Nadine Regis from CBRE as associate director in the property management department at its Leytonstone office. Chartered surveyor Ashley Wright has been promoted to associate director in the property management department. Natalie Mallin has been promoted to associate director in the valuation and advisory services department.

Knight Frank has hired graduate surveyors Tom Wright and Victoria Harris from the University of Northumbria to its Leeds office and John Jarman from Sheffield Hallam University to its Sheffield office.

Harris Lamb has appointed property inspector Daniel Siggs to its business rates team. Siggs has extensive knowledge of the commercial property market and business rates system, and will support both the Birmingham and Nottingham offices.

Arlington has appointed George Wilson as a development surveyor and Tim Gardner as a project manager. Wilson will focus on the firm’s Reading International Logistics Park and Arlington Square Bracknell projects. Gardner joins the delivery team to work on the capital investment programme and existing core portfolio.

Commercial: Rupert Allsop, associate in Bath; Samuel Turner, associate in London; Timothy Brooksbank, associate in Bath; Ben Haynes, associate in Oxford; Benjamin Welch, associate in Winchester; and Thomas Vecchione, associate in Oxford. Planning & Development: James Cordery, associate partner in Oxford; Kimberley Brown, associate partner in Cambridge; Peter Canavan, associate partner in Oxford; and Christopher Cooper, Jennifer Turner and James Staveley, associate partners in London. Rural: Kylie Roberts, associate partner in Northampton; and Joe Robinson, associate partner in Harrogate. Residential: Charles Gibson, Charlotte Rudkin-Wilson, Juliet Pritchard and Neil Scott, associate partners in London.

Henry Boot has appointed Tim Roberts as chief executive officer, effective from 1 January 2020. He will replace current chief executive John Sutcliffe, who will remain in an advisory position with the company until the conclusion of the AGM on 21 May 2020.

Simon Prichard, senior partner at Gerald Eve, has been appointed as the new chair of RICS’s UK & Ireland World Regional Board. He will succeed professor Fiona Grant of Heriot-Watt University.

Richborough Estates has appointed Dean Knight as its first technical director. He joins from Lioncourt Homes, where he was engineering manager.

Apex Airspace’s construction team has appointed Jonathan Poole from Mace as construction director. Ricardo Simoes joins as project manager and will support Poole and his team in the management and construction delivery of Apex’s new housing projects.

Paul Bryan has joined Whittle Jones as a building surveyor in its North West office covering the Lancashire and Cumbria regions.
