Perella Weinberg has submitted plans for the reconfiguration of City icon One Poultry, EC2.

The Buckley Grey Yeoman-designed plans include moving the glazing line of the shops forward, relocating the office entrance to Queen Victoria Street to provide an enlarged reception area and increasing the size of some windows and light well openings at ground, first and second-floor levels.

The revisions to the James Stirling-designed building are intended to make it more appealing to modern office occupiers.

US fund manager Perella Weinberg bought the building for £110m in April 2014 from Michael Feldman.

The office space is princiapally occupied by Aviva.

A spokesman for Perella Weinberg said: “Wood Grafton One Sarl, a subsidiary of Perella Weinberg Real Estate Fund II LP, has submitted plans to the City of London Corporation to make a small number of enhancements to One Poultry. These proposals aim to improve the existing retail frontages, create a higher quality office entrance and increase natural light to first and second-floor offices.

“The owner recognises the architectural significance of One Poultry. The proposed changes aim to enhance the building by addressing its practical inefficiencies in a way that is in keeping with a building of its status, and without compromising its key design elements. By implementing the alterations, the owner hopes to secure the building’s future for the long-term.”
