Plans in for Edinburgh BTR scheme

Developer HUB and investor Bridges Fund Management have lodged plans for the construction of 205 BTR homes on Beaverhall Road, Edinburgh. The proposals also include workspace and a publicly accessible courtyard.

The resi scheme, which includes 52 affordable homes, will replace an existing warehouse building. It was designed by architects shedkm and developed in close collaboration with the local community and current businesses.

Tom Valente, HUB development manager, said: “We have submitted plans for one of our first schemes in Edinburgh. The mix of BTR and creative workspace is one that we know works well in terms of fostering a sense of community and making places where people choose to live.”

HUB has more than 5,500 homes completed or under development across the UK. Its current projects include a mixed-use scheme in Maidenhead town centre, a creative hub in Canonmills, Edinburgh, the regeneration of a six-acre site in Digbeth, Birmingham, and creation of 951 homes to the west of Leeds city centre.
